Snow blind

The UK has ground to a snowy halt with people panic buying the bread and eggs. Seriously, the weather hasn't been that bad, we've had around 4" of snow here and that's it! Why is the UK so poorly equipped to deal with the bad weather?

Last year, I went to Iceland for a few days, had an awesome time, there was snow around but not as much as you'd think. When it came to flying home, the flight was cancelled because Heathrow couldn't cope with the weather.

Ok, fast forward to this year, Heathrow have been cancelling flights around 10% of there flights, I can appreciate that for safety reasons there are issues, but have they learnt anything from last year?

Anyway, grumble over.

I went out yesterday and made a snowman and had a snowball fight, all things that you should do! There has been enough complaining about the weather, I love it when it snows. Everything is clean and silent and gives everything a weird level of equality. I love leaving my foot prints everywhere, and looking at other tracks left in the snow. I did have the idea that I should make some giant animal feet to wander around in, just for giggles!

Anyway that's all

It'a alive, Alive!

Well that's the holiday season over thankfully, and because I am writing this you can assume one of three things:
1. I killed them all and either got away with it or am on the run;
2. I killed them all and got caught, but my prison has wi-fi, or;
3. Everyone behaved themselves...

Putting you out of your misery, it was option 3. Which actually freaked me out a little at jus how well behaved everyone was.

I consider it a triumph, I cooked everything, this in it's self is not something to gloat about, I usually cook everything, as do a lot of people. But I was cooking for some fussy eaters and no-one had a bad word they could say about ANYTHING that was put in front of them. That is a success!

New year has been and gone, and I usually don't make resolutions, but this year I've promised myself that I will get fitter and lose a couple of inches from the waist line. I've also promised myself to be more social and make more efforts to keep in touch with my friends and not to lose contact with those who are important to me. I've started the plan, last night I went swimming for the first time in about 18 months, I've joined a jogging club at work which starts next week and I'm arranging nights out and keeping more in touch with people than before.

So that's the plan going forward, I'm going to keep track on things here too.
